Leadership

Wayne Gagnon, CEO

Wayne Gagnon is the co-owner of AmericanBio. Since its inception, he has served as a company executive. Wayne received his BA in History & Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Vincent Cooney, President

Vin Cooney has been with the company more than 20 years. Originally hired as a salesman, Vin is now the head of our sales and marketing. He received his BA in Communications from Curry College.

David Cooney, Vice President

David Cooney has been with AmericanBio for more than 15 years. Shortly after joining AmericanBio, David was appointed Management Representative of the organization and over the years successfully designed and implemented quality management systems that conform to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003 and cGMP. As vice president of the company, David oversees the quality management team. He is a graduate of Wheaton (MA) College.

Heidi Fleshman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Heidi Fleshman has a passion for developing relationships with her customers and identifying ways to support their business challenges as well as their strategies. With 20+ years of experience of sales and business development efforts in the Life Science market with a focus on Biochemical Sales and Contract Manufacturing Services, she’s been able to partner with growing start-up companies as well as flagship Biotech market leaders. Heidi has a keen understanding of the Design Transfer process, coupled with great knowledge of cGMP and ISO requirements. Heidi pursued a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She’s also served our country in the United States Air Force.

Aileen Waters, Director of Quality Management

Aileen has more than 20 years of experience in the area of cGMP Quality Management, along with expertise in Validation, Supplier Quality, Document Control, CAPA, Change Control, and Project Management. She has been a significant contributor to the launch of new products, and possesses a proven leadership skill set. Aileen has an impressive track record of successfully developing, implementing, managing and improving global PQS/cGMP and ISO 9000 / 13485 quality systems and business processes. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BS in Biological Sciences and later received a MS in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School of Quality Management.

Anand Panchu, Director of Engineering

Anand Panchu joined AmericanBio in 2012 as a process consultant then moved to the operations team as operations manager/process engineer. Anand has brought with him over 23 years of experience working in an FDA/ISO/GMP environment in the life science and in vitro diagnostic industries. Prior to working at AmericanBio he worked at Courtagen Life Science, Decision Biomarker and Nova Biomedical. Anand earned a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology and PLC programming.

Since our inception in 1977, AmericanBio has grown to meet the evolving quality (and quantity) requirements of the life science industry. Our state-of-the-art facility, located in Natick, Massachusetts, offers much more than manufacturing. You can also rely on us for value-added logistics services, such as storage and drop-ship solutions, inventory management, lot sequestration and documentation services.

Quality Control

You take quality control very seriously. So do we. After all, your results depend on having the highest quality chemicals and reagents. When you work with us, you’ll be serviced by a team of highly trained and certified manufacturing technicians. In addition to ISO certifications, we also take advantage of a robust Enterprise Resource Planning system that employs the FDA’s Quality System Regulation level controls for raw materials management, batch manufacturing and quality control. Every aspect of the process is controlled with full traceability.
