Description
TB Dry is a single component high nutrient medium formulated
to maximize yields of recombinant plasmids and cosmids.
The most important advantage of TB DRY is that all components
are combined into a single powder, eliminating the need to autoclave two
separate solutions. TB Dry yields 4-7 times more plasmid DNA than LB broth.
formulation per 55g:
12g tryptone, 24g yeast extract, 4g alternate carbon source, 14.8g potassium phosphate
a solution at 55g/liter is clear yellow after autoclaving at 121°C
